M&E of Teaching and Learning
Like most of the Universities in Uganda, CIU has continued to support teaching and learning by conducting end of semester student evaluations.
The university also embraced the NCHE guidelines by adopting the ODel as a way of mitigating the spread of Covid 19.
Programs Audit for accreditation
and re-accreditation
We worked with the Deans and the AR to ensure that all our programmes submitted for reaccreditation and do a follow up for those that are due this year. Also involved the NCHE to update our programmes on their websites
Odel application and re-application
QAO in collaboration with Academic registrar and the ODeL chair took charge in ensuring that the emergency ODel approvals were obtained from NCHE and recently applied for permanent ODEL at CIU
Plagiarism Check
The QA continues to ensure quality improvement in our writing via plagiarism checks using the Drillbit software. The acceptable rate is 0-30% , which a high percentage of our students are adhering to. Trainings of curbing of plagiarism have been availed to the staff and learner
